I first met Alex at Splore festival in New Zealand, bikini-clad and wearing two different jandals. I knew straight away that this was my kinda woman, and this would be a life-long friendship. One that sadly sees us living in different time zones and hemispheres, but we have managed to make it work. Fast forward a few years down the track to January this year when I got the call; he had asked a question, she said yes, he said lets get married in my home town in Italy, she said, sure, but only if I can have my friend Em as the photographer. So to the north of Italy in August I went.  This beautiful day had it all. Italians, Americans, laughter, singing, five tier cakes, hand rolled mozzarella balls with mustard fruits and honey (aka the best thing I have ever eaten), a 16th century castle nestled amongst the mighty Dolomites, one of the coolest looking wedding bands I’ve ever seen, dancing, sweating, and so, so, so much love.

A truly magical celebration to be a part of, and one I wont ever forget. A thousand thank you’s Alex, Gio, and all your wonderful families for putting your trust in this kiwi to fly from the other side of the world to document your day. Grazie mille.
